MISSISSIPPI  RIVER  CRUISE
Come on lets cruise!
One of our most popular trips since 1987.

Cruise over 180 miles round trip from Le Claire, Iowa to Dubuque, Iowa. The Twilight is a beautifully appointed 
Victorian riverboat. Climate controlled for a nice cool ride on the river.
Feel free to explore the Twilight, even take your turn in the wheelhouse, sharing conversation with the captain, listening to the barge traffic on the radio and even navigate old man river. It's a great picture.

Our first nights stay will be in Bettendorf, Iowa where we will enjoy a splendid meal at one of the local favorites.
Day two we are off to LeClaire, Iowa to board our river vessel.
We have seating on the second of three levels for wonderful views of the river, wildlife, river traffic, and the bald eagles.
All meals are served onboard and we have our own reserved tables for your friends and family.
Travel through two sets of locks and dams #12 and #13 it is an interesting experience.
After we arrive up river to the historic town of Dubuque,
Iowa, we will settle in to our beautiful river front hotel for one night.
Starting with a  full breakfast on day three you will be free to visit the outstanding Mississippi River Museum (included) the Fourth Street Cable Car is one of a kind with a three state view, or maybe the Diamond Jo Casino.

After returning down river and enjoying your farewell prime rib dinner, we will spend our last night at a new hotel located on the river with all river view rooms.

You may choose from one of our many drop off points throughout Chicago.

Navy Pier, Field Museum, Shedd Aquarium, State Street, Art Institute, and the Magnificent Mile.

The warm weather will offer many opportunities for events like, the architectural river cruise,  water taxies or lake cruise.

We will provide maps of our pick up point and highlight points of interest, along with additional information to help prepare you for your exciting day in "Chi Town"

July 29 Wed HENRY FORD ESTATE
with Lunch in the Mansion

Relive the  splendor of the 56 room mansion where Henry and Clara Ford once lived and entertained the world's most influential people like "Herbert Hoover".

We will enjoy a very nice lunch right in the mansion.

Our tour will continue to the still operational Power House, the works of Edison himself. It also houses Mr Ford's personal 12 car collection.

The gardens will be in full bloom and a walk down Jensen's Meadow will be beautiful.

They are calling this show the sequel to the international hit musical Nunsense.
The same five nuns are back on stage to provide great music and plenty of laughs.

Time to shop and look around Turkeyville.

July  31 Friday "AMISH ACRES ARTS AND CRAFTS FESTIVAL in NAPPANEE, INDIANA.

Named one of the top 100 events in 2008.
Over 350 artists and crafters with juried crafts are set up to sell their unique wares.

Ongoing entertainment, festive food and cash prizes will be given away.
A hot breakfast snack on the coach.

Depart at 7:30am and return at 5pm

Aug 6 Thurs CHICAGO BOTANICAL GARDENS
Ride through the many theme Garden settings or stroll about.  Lunch will be available on the grounds.

Aug 11 Tues MYSTERY GARDEN TOUR

Here we go again! This trip was so popular that it went into a wait list. So we will return again and you don't want to miss it this time.

It's a real surprise that this amazing garden setting West of Jackson is such a secret. The flowers, herbs, restored 1800s farm home, and landscaping is beyond description.

Our lunch is prepared by a very talented chef that has a twist for combining art and food preparation. You are not sure weather to eat it, or take a picture.

Our first group has been sworn to secrecy and it will be hard not to share the excitement.

This trip is the best of the best. We promise.

Aug 25 & 26 "CHARITY ISLAND"
 Au Gres, and Tawas, MI

The Saginaw Bay is home to "Big Charity Island" and is know for it's beauty along with a variety of LIGHT HOUSES.

We will set sail from Au Gres to Big Charity Island and enjoy appetizers onboard the boat. After we arrive you will have a beautiful walk/ or ride to the lightkeepers house for a nice dinner on the front porch of the home. With a selection of: Great Lakes Perch or Beef Tenderloin.

After a  tasty dinner we will set sail for our return trip just at sunset, while enjoying dessert onboard.

Overnight accommodations in Tawas along with time to shop and lunch in the quaint town of East Tawas. Additional touring to Gravelly Shoals Light House, Tawas Point Lighthouse, the Lumberman's Monument overlooking the Au Sable River in the Huron National Forest.
