| On April 15, 1912, Titanic, the world’s largest Ship, sank after colliding with an iceberg, claiming more than 1,500 lives. During the 100th anniversary of the sinking, The Henry Ford will host the largest touring Exhibition of Titanic: The Artifact Exhibition, in Henry Ford Museum, March 31 through September 30, 2012.This Exhibition, 10,000 square feet in size, features more than 300 artifacts – 250 of which have never been displayed in Michigan. In addition, visitors will walk through extensive room re-creations, be able to get their photos taken near the full-scale replica of the Grand Staircase, as well as learn about passengers on board who had local ties to Michigan.
Moving through this newly redesigned and expanded Exhibition, visitors will be taken back in time to 1912 and “travel” through the life of the Titanic — from the ship’s construction, to its on-board passengers, its ill-fated voyage, to the amazing artifact rescue efforts that involved divers returning to the sunken ship in recent years. The Diamond Jack was formerly named the “Emerald Isle”. The miniship was built in 1955 for the Beaver Island Ferry Company on Lake Michigan. Then, in 1962, became a Mackinac Island Ferry for the Arnold Line Ferry Company until 1982 when she went to Milwaukee as a charter boat. Diamond Jack’s River Tours bought the ship in 1991 and renamed her “Diamond Jack”, which is primarily used for our 2 hour narrated Detroit River tours, school groups, group tours, and private charters.

Day 3: Henderson, Kentucky, Kentucky 
Enjoy a leisurely stroll through Henderson, the hometown of famed naturalist John James Audubon. Reminders of his famous bird paintings are around every corner. See if you can find all eight of the town’s bronze bird statues. OR With a growing population, thriving downtown, historic turn-of-the-century mansions overlooking the river,and a recently renovated riverfront, Henderson exhibits the best qualities of an historic southern river town.
Day 4: Paducah, Kentucky 
Known as the city of art, rhythm and rivers, Paducah boasts a lively Lowertown Arts District, the renowned River Heritage Museum, a Save America’s Treasures project, and tours via foot, trolley or horse-drawn carriage reveal its charm. OR Elegant displays at the Museum of the American Quilter’s Society highlight the vigorous rebirth of quiltmaking. It’s just one of the colorful attractions in a lovely city of 19th century architecture, specialty shops and one-of-a-kind eateries.

We will depart for Owego, New York in the Finger Lakes region for our first nights accommodations.
We will stay four nights on the the shore of the largest lake in N.H. “Lake Winnipesaukee”. Enjoy beachfront rooms just steps from the sandy beach. The reflection of the fall colors upon the water is spectacular. This is a very conveinent location to spoke out to our differenrt dailey adventures.
Depart for a day of touring the Lakes Region. Our guide “White Mountain Mikey” will be joining us for two days of fun filled narration and stories. Today we will be touring the magnificent White Mountains region and travel the Kancamagus Highway, a most scenic route. All aboard the Conway Scenic Notch Train for a two hour ride to Crawford Notch, along steep ravines, panoramic mountain vistas and across the famed Frankenstein trestle and Willey Brook Bridge.
A lunch buffet is included at the spectacular Mount Washington Hotel, a National Historic Landmark. We will have a tour of the property that has hosted Winston Churchill, Babe Ruth and U.S. Presidents!
Depart for a day of touring the magnificent White Mountains Region.
Time to cruise! The M.S. Mt. Washington awaits our arrival for a scenic one way cruise across New Hampshire’s largest lake to the charming lakeside resort town of Wolfeboro with time for shopping and lunch.
Now on to Moultonborough NH. For our tour of the “Castle in the Clouds” an outstanding mansion overlooking Lake Winnipesaukee, featuring hand craftsmanship and technological innovations.
All aboard the Winnipesaukee Scenic Railroad for a fun two hour ride along the lake. We will enjoy a delicious carved turkey dinner on board.
Depart for Canterbury New Hampshire. The Canterbury Shaker Village, a historic Shaker community founded in 1792. Your guided tour will take you through the serene grounds, view the 23 buildings that served skilled craftsman.
We will depart for North Woodstock and begin boarding the Café Lafayette Dinner Train for a scenic 20-mile, 2-hour trip through the heart of the White Mountains. We will relish freshly prepared entrees, elegant surroundings, and beautifully restored Pullman dining cars, all in the Grand European manner.
Depart for Rhinebeck New York.
Time in the charming town of Rhinebeck NY for shopping and lunch. We will visit the FDR Presidential home and Library and Museum, the first in the Country and the only one used by a sitting president. The library is the world’s premier research center for the study of the Roosevelt era. In the Library’s Museum you can explore exhibits about the lives of the Roosevelt’s, the Great Depression, the New Deal and World War II.
Dinner this evening will have an outstanding view of the Hudson River. A meal that you won’t soon forget.
Tonight accommodations will be in Poughkeepsie, NY.
We will tour the Vanderbilt Mansion in terms of architecture, interiors, mechanical systems, road systems and landscape, is a remarkably complete example of a gilded-age country place, illustrating the political, economic, social, cultural, and demographic changes that occurred as America industrialized in the years after the Civil War. It was the setting for grand parties, balls, and dinners for New York’s social elite.
Lunch today will be at the Culinary Institute of America. What a unique experience. Founded in 1946 the campus in Hyde Park now boasts over 2000 students. This wonderful meal will be served by students during their externship.
Tonight’s lodging Owego New York. Located below the Finger Lakes region. This is a beautiful drive taking us through the Catskill Mountains and park. Have your cameras ready.
We will depart for Corning New York for a visit to the Corning Museum of Glass. See one of the world’s most comprehensive collections featuring glass from 35 centuries. Let’s not forget the Glass Market, shop eight boutiques that offer glass treasures from around the world, jewelry, glass art, house wares and lots more.

Next, visit Stanley Park before boarding a ferry to Vancouver Island. Day 6: Friday, October 12, 2012 Kelowna – Lake Louise, Alberta
Depart the Okanagan Valley along the shores of Lake Okanagan as you travel along the Thompson River. Journey through Yoho National Park, named by the Cree (using their expression for “awe”). Then, travel to spectacular Lake Louise, showcasing incredible views of its emerald waters and the imposing Victoria Glacier, and overnight at the incomparable The Fairmont Chateau Lake Louise. Later, leave the wonders of the Rockies for the prairies of Alberta en route to the Kananaskis Valley. Experience life in the west during a visit to a local ranch.
